Reed spent his childhood in Taiwan and moved to the United States in 2005 to attend school. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2014 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a focus in silversmithing.
Reed grew up in Taiwan, where a mix of Chinese and Japanese cultures heavily influenced his work, including history and mythological stories. In an effort to focus his artistic interests, Reed attended crafting and illustration classes after school. As a way to identify with his Asian and European heritage, Reed has experimented with combining these cultural influences into his personal story using his art.
Reed has been serving his apprenticeship at Inkblot Studio since August 2016. He has recently started hosting various special events and accepting a limited number of consultations.
